Who we are

Unhype Studio Films is part of Unhype Studio, run by Jan Elopre, a UK sole trader trading as Unhype Studio. Jan is responsible for your information. Email hello@unhypestudio.com.

What we collect

Only what you choose to share with us:

• Your name, email address and business name.
• What you would like made, what you have to start with, and your message.
• Photos, footage, logos, music, words and other material you send us to make your film. This may include images of people.

We do not ask for payment details through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and make and deliver any film we agree. Our lawful bases are our legitimate interest in replying to you, taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing the contract once we have one.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them.

Your photos, footage and other material

You tell us who took each photo or video and that you have the right to use it. If it shows people who can be recognised, we may ask for their permission before we use it. We use your material only to make your film and to keep a record of what we used. We do not use it to train AI tools, and we do not show it or the finished film publicly without your written agreement.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the website and the studio. They handle your information on our instructions. They are:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
• Our email, cloud storage and editing tools, used to store and work on your material.

Some of these providers are outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as approved contract terms.

How long we keep it

We review enquiries that do not lead to a project after six months, and then delete or anonymise them. Project files are kept while we work with you and for a short time after delivery in case you need a change, and then deleted or returned if you ask. Contracts, invoices and accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it in a particular way. Email hello@unhypestudio.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This website does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. If that ever changes, we will ask you first and update this page.

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date below.
